The workers at a Federal Building in Connecticut are concerned over asbestos findings. Within the building, which is a U.S. Attorney’s Office, there are rumors that asbestos was used in the construction of the building.
Because of this suspicion, workers within the building are being transferred to other buildings to continue their work until everything is investigated.
John Hughues, who is the chief of the civil division in CT, has released the following statement about finding a new building: “We’re looking for 8,000 square feet of space, with the potential to expand to 10,000 square feet… We would like to be as close as possible to the courthouse, hopefully within three to four blocks.”
This leads to the question of what will they be doing with the old building? If there is in fact asbestos will they be tearing it down?
