Maureen Ryder recently passed away in England due to what her husband claims was Secondhand Asbestos Exposure, which led to Mesothelioma Cancer.
Maureen’s husband, Trevor, worked at Norton Abrasives, the largest manufacturer and supplier of abrasives for commercial applications and technical manufacturing, from 1963 to 1985.
He says that he was unknowingly exposed to asbestos dust while at work. When Trevor came home at the end of each day his wife would brush the dust off of his clothing – exposing herself to the harmful, and in this case deadly, fibers.
Trevor said, “She would brush the dust from my clothes every evening and then hand wash them ready for the next day.”
Secondhand asbestos exposure is heard of – it is when asbestos fiber particles travel into the home from a persons clothing or skin who has been exposed to it. The friends and family inside the home unknowingly inhale or ingest the fibers, where they remain until years later Mesothelioma Cancer or other complications can develop.
Trevor is seeking Mesothelioma Compensation for his wife’s death.
